Dr. Nikki Kraslin
Dr. Nikki Kraslin is a licensed clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst with private practices in Denver and Boulder. She currently offers individual psychotherapy sessions, psychoanalysis, EMDR, couples therapy and group therapy. She has helped people with diverse complaints including: depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, personal growth issues and relationship problems. She also offers clinical supervision and consultation to graduate students, psychology candidates for licensure and psychologists.
Dr. Kraslin uses the metaphor of tinted glasses to explain the psychotherapy process. All people see the world through lenses shaped by their unique backgrounds and experiences. Therapy helps us recognize the hue of our own distinct lens, creating the possibility for growth, change, and a more authentic and fulfilling life experience.
Dr. Kraslin graduated cum laude from Tufts University in 1998, earning a degree in Clinical Psychology. She received her Master’s Degree from the University of Denver in 2002 and her Doctorate in 2004. She furthered her education by completing a four-year advanced training program in psychoanalysis and graduated from the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis in 2012. Dr. Kraslin is a licensed clinical psychologist who has experience working with both adolescents and adults in inpatient, outpatient, residential and college counseling settings. She has been in full-time private practice since 2004.
Dr. Kraslin has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology where she supervised doctoral candidates and co-facilitated advanced seminars in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and multiculturalism. She is currently faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in the department of psychiatry. She teaches psychiatrists, psychologists, and master’s level clinicians enrolled at the Denver Institute of Psychoanalysis.
